About The Aviation Challenge
The Aviation Challenge is an ambitious initiative by SkyTeam to inspire and accelerate the adoption of more sustainable practices within the aviation industry. Member airlines participate in this friendly competition by executing flights that showcase alternative practices in key impact areas including flight operations, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), aircraft engineering and maintenance, cargo and ground operations.

The goal of the challenge is to reduce aviation’s impact on the environment and to spur breakthrough ideas, which can be shared across the industry. This year, the objective is for airlines to adopt and scale more sustainable solutions within their entire operations. At the end of the challenge, airlines' efforts will be evaluated by The Aviation Challenge’s expert panel, and winners in 18 award categories will be selected by our jury.
