As part of this commitment, SkyTeam is thrilled to present a unique internship opportunity within our Sustainability Team that promises to be as enlightening as it is challenging.

The internship offer

As part of its current Sustainability Strategy, SkyTeam is developing and delivering a number of high-priority sustainability initiatives, together with its member airlines. As an intern at SkyTeam, you'll be contributing to the vast portfolio of our sustainability initiatives. Given the matrix nature of our organization, your time will be split between several projects, and you will collaborate with multiple colleagues. Roughly, 50% of your time will be with The Aviation Challenge, our flagship initiative to inspire and accelerate the adoption of more sustainable practices through means of a friendly competition, and the other 50% - other strategic initiatives, namely RISE Leadership Development Program, Sustainability Standards & Portal, ESG reporting and Anti-human Trafficking Initiative.
From Day 1, you will work closely with our member airlines on data collection and analysis, storytelling, and relationship building. The team will very much welcome your curiosity, sustainability knowledge, and ability to bring innovative ideas to the table.
This is your chance to navigate the intriguing labyrinth of global aviation!

You will work under the supervision of Program Manager Sustainability, with partial reporting to the Project Lead TAC.

Monitor relevant news and policy developments in the area of human trafficking
  • RISE: Help prepare the Program Manual for the next year’s program. Generate ideas for the curriculum and assignments. Help create and analyze a program satisfaction survey. Look for relevant events and speaking opportunities in the area of Leadership Development and Women in Aviation
The Aviation Challenge

  • Repository Development and Improvement: Collaborate with our communications team and airline representatives to gather submissions for our solutions repository. Help elevate the overall quality of content on the repository and our new website, enhancing the depth and comprehensiveness, ensuring that it is informative, engaging, and accurately reflects the solutions' impact and efforts of the airlines. The repository features over 600 initiatives that have been submitted since the Challenge inception in 2022.
  • Community Engagement: Assist our Engagement Lead in refining and disseminating knowledge from the solutions repository through transforming complex information into clear, understandable, and inspiring content that others can learn from.
